In-person events still critical, says Rose

The Wholesale Group’s recent event brought together suppliers and wholesale members with a “fantastic energy”

“There is still enormous value in bringing people together face to face,” said Coral Rose, Managing Director Foodservice, after The Wholesale Group held its annual foodservice fair, bringing together 95 suppliers and the group’s wholesale members to showcase products.

The face-to-face format provided members with an efficient way to meet suppliers, discover products and discuss new opportunities in one place and Rose described the event has having ‘fantastic energy’ as members sampled products, explored new ranges and took advantage of show offers.

“For suppliers, it provided direct access to independent wholesalers and an opportunity to demonstrate how their products can support members and their customers. The event is about creating real opportunities to do business and, with 95 suppliers exhibiting, members were able to see and sample products, discover new ideas and have valuable face-to-face conversations with the people behind the brands.”
