It is often repeated that wholesale is a channel underpinned by the strength of relationships and there is no better example of this than the FWD Live! conference, where the sector comes together to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by everyone in the room.
This year’s conference, held in June in Stratford-upon-Avon, saw wholesalers, suppliers and service providers connect and collaborate all with one aim: to bolster the channel’s resilience at a time of relentless pressure and to provide insight and expertise on how to move forward with purpose, clarity and positivity.
In our August issue, you can read all about the highlights from what was a truly exceptional day, including the keynote address from Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, plus a host of industry experts covering a range of hot topics. These included the latest trends driving consumer behaviour, the role of AI in business in 2026 and beyond, and the very real risks posed by cyber attacks on food and drink businesses, with Co-op’s Paul Gerrard sharing the key learnings following the cyber attack that impacted Co-op last year.
What really stands out at FWD events is the engagement from those attending and the power of shared conversations, connections and collaboration, which will enable all of us to move forward.
In the issue we also cover all wholesalers need to know to make sure the bottom line is all treats and no tricks this Halloween; our autumn trends feature explores the events and categories that are essential to master for sales success for the big night in season; TWC’s Tanya Pepin assesses the small shifts that are contributing to what could be a seismic shift for wholesale; and we bring you the key news and analysis from the sector.
Until next month…
