Filshill recruit to help build KeyStore business

Glasgow-based wholesaler JW Filshill has appointed Laura Price as regional development manager for the north-east of England

Durham-based Laura joins the business having previously worked for companies including Camelot and Red Bull and, most recently, Rainbow Designs, a UK licensed toy manufacturer. She will report into Shirley Ruane, Filshill’s sales manager for the west of Scotland and northern England territories.

Craig Brown, Filshill’s chief sales and marketing officer, commented: “Laura is highly experienced, enthusiastic and very much a people-oriented person – exactly the sort of individual who can engage well with our customers and colleagues.

“Working in Shirley’s team, she will help us build our KeyStore business in north-east England. In recent years, we have built strong momentum for the KeyStore brand south of the Border and Laura’s appointment will strengthen our business support team as we work to recruit new customers to the KeyStore brand and increase their profitability while enabling them to retain retailer flexibility.

“Across our retailer estate our aim is to help more retailers choose KeyStore as the best solution for achieving increased profit and margin.”

Joining Filshill in its 150th anniversary year, Laura said: “One of the things that attracted me to Filshill is that it is a family business with a reputation for investing in its people. I can see how all the teams work closely together as part of the ‘Filshill family’ and that really appealed to me because I have very strong family values too.

“I’m also a great supporter of motor neurone disease charities as my father had this disease and I was delighted to discover that one of the six charities Filshill is raising funds for in its 150th anniversary year is MND Scotland.”
