Wholesaler nurtures talent with host of promotions
Independent foodservice wholesaler Turner Price has promoted four of its senior team to its board of directors
The move, the wholesaler says, reflects its commitment to recognising internal talent and investing in the future.
Operations Director Steve Potter, Sales Directors Tracey Shillito and Jason Watkins and Digital and Marketing Director Tom English have all taken on key leadership roles within the Yorkshire-based wholesaler, joining Managing Director Paul Brittain and Commercial Director Craig Andrews on the board.
“I am delighted to welcome Steve, Tracey, Jason and Tom to the Turner Price board. Their deep understanding of our business and wealth of experience make them invaluable members of the leadership team. Each has played a crucial role in our recent success and their continued contributions will be vital to our future direction,” said Paul Brittain.
He also congratulated Gemma Scholes who has been promoted to head of buying and Liz Watson to head of finance: “I am equally pleased to recognise Gemma and Liz, whose promotions reflect the strength and depth of talent within our organisation.”
“At Turner Price, we are passionate about nurturing our people, and these appointments demonstrate our commitment to developing future leaders from within. I look forward to working even more closely with them all and wish them every success in their new roles.”
Turner Price joined Caterfood Buying Group in July 2024. Phil Atyeo, managing director, Caterfood Buying Group, said: “Turner Price has gone from strength to strength since joining Caterfood Buying Group. We’ve been thoroughly impressed by the senior leadership team over the last ten months and fully support these very well-deserved promotions. As a business, Turner Price has an enormous amount of potential and getting the right leadership structure in place internally is going to be vital for supporting that future success and growth, so this is really fantastic to see.”
