Whyte Mackay invests pound;2m in darts campaign

Whyte Mackay is investing pound;2m in its biggest ever marketing campaign to support the 2009 Whyte Mackay Premier League Darts.

The ‘Get In’ campaign will include 15 weeks of national TV advertising on Sky Sports, activity with national newspapers and an off trade promotion designed to encourage uplift of the brand.

The campaign will also include cash and carry depot days where retailers will be able to play darts to win prizes including tickets to their local event.

Nick Gaskin, Whyte Mackay UK marketing director, commented: “Our first year of sponsorship generated huge brand awareness allowing us to grow our 18-34-year-old drinker base by 83% and volume by 50%.

“This year will be even bigger as the demand for the largest indoor sports event continues to grow.

“The ‘Get In’ marketing campaign will help outlets to drive footfall into accounts throughout the country and encourage sales of the Whyte Mackay brand.”
