Heinz has launched HP Steak Sauce into the foodservice market, prior to its launch in retail.
According to Heinz, steak consumption out of home has grown by 4% since 2003 and red meat is still a popular choice with 42% of consumers tucking in to it more than three times a week.
HP Steak Sauce comes in a two litre container and can be used as a complement to a steak or as a glaze.
Claire Vaughan, senior brand manager of Heinz Foodservice sauce range, said: “With the HP brand offering caterers purchase reassurance, the new product will invigorate the steak sauce market as an alternative to existing traditional options.”
