Heinz Foodservice has unveiled new packaging for its individual portion SqueezeMe! Tomato Ketchup.
The design for the 100x26ml boxes is specifically for cash and carry outlets and is intended to grab caterers’ attention.
The red boxes display the Heinz logo and contain the message ‘customers are happy to pay for SqueezeMe!’. It also has graphics showing the grab and twist tab.
According to Heinz Foodservice, more than 100 million pods have been sold in the UK with 50% of distribution to fish and chip shops and 56% of all sales have been of Heinz Tomato Ketchup.
SqueezeMe! pods have a shelf life of 274 days and Heinz Foodservice says consumers will pay 15-20p for a pod.
