Chicago Town has launched a Limited Edition Meat Feast pizza for caterers to boost profits while offering snack options during this year’s big summer events.
The pizza is topped with meatballs, pepperoni and white onion with a BBQ sauce stuffed crust. It cooks in as little as six to 12 minutes, depending on oven type. It joins 4-Cheese, Pepperoni, Chicken Supreme and Inferno in the Chicago Town foodservice range.
Cheryll Snowdon, foodservice controller for Dr. Oetker, the company behind Chicago Town said: “Pizza was eaten by 68% of British adults in 2010 (Mintel Pizza UK, 2011), and with Euro 2012 and the Olympics, there are many events coming up which lend themselves to offering pizza as a quick and easy option.”
She added that the pizza can be sold by the slice as a hand-held snack or as a whole pizza to share, with a profit opportunity of 50-60%.”
No special ovens or chef skills are required for consistent results, meaning it’s suitable for everyone from pubs to university caterers looking to extend food serving hours. Snowdon added.
Chicago Town Limited Edition Meat Feast comes in cases of eight. A range of POS material is available, including table talkers and posters. Bespoke solutions for visual cues can also be supplied on request.
