Catering for food intolerances

Delicious Alchemy, manufacturer of wheat/gluten and lactose-free breads, cakes and cereals, has launched a range of products aimed at the hotel and the catering trade.

Caterers can now offer a full wheat/gluten and lactose free foodservice for guests who are avoiding these ingredients, boosting food sales and repeat business. The range includes bread rolls, pizza bases, burger buns, dessert and conference cakes and breakfast cereal.

Emma Killilea, managing director of Delicious Alchemy, said: “Since we introduced the hotel and catering range the response has been very good with restaurants and hotels reporting a significant increase in profits, repeat business and customer loyalty. Our research shows that three to five star hotels will cater for at least one gluten or lactose intolerant guest every day.”
