Burnley-based family business Birchall Foodservice is to expand into butchery.
The company will offer caterers and foodservice operators quality fresh meats, cut and packed to order, from next month (April).
The launch follows Birchall’s successful move into a new purpose-built distribution centre at the beginning of the year, more than doubling its warehousing capacity to 64,000 sq ft.
Offered under the new “Birchall Fresh” brand, this latest venture is the culmination of an exclusive partnership with local and certified UK meat suppliers, who use traditional farming methods and enable full traceability from farm to fork.
Newly-appointed MD, Justin Birchall (pictured), said: “We are very excited to be able to offer our customers this additional service.
“Our dedicated team of butchers will cater for the individual requirements and specifications of our customers to the strictest production and distribution standards, providing a competitively priced, quality product.”
All orders will be delivered within 24 hours, along with frozen, chilled and grocery products, on the company’s fleet of modern, multi-temperature vehicles.
