Bakehouse has launched two Danish pastries – a Lemon Swirl and a Créme Bun.
The Lemon Swirl is designed to fill a gap in the market for citrus fruit flavoured Danish pastries and features flaky Schulstad Royal Danish Pastry.
Kate Raison, marketing director at Bakehouse, said: “The combination of lemon with Danish pastry gives a refreshing take on traditional flavour options, but the fact that we have used English lemon curd as the filling will really appeal to consumer interest in nostalgic flavours too.”
The Créme Bun is made of flaky Schulstad Danish Pastry and filled with creamy vanilla crÃ¨me patissiere filling and topped with chocolate flavour icing. They are supplied in pillow packs to protect them in transit and bake off in 15 minutes.
