Aviko, the manufacturer of chilled chips and potato products, has added Steam and Fresh Wedges in Skin to its “Feel Good Foods” range of healthier products.
The pre-cut and fully prepared wedges can be cooked from frozen, and Aviko says that because the product is cooked from the outside in it has a 75% shorter preparation time than other wedges, saving time and hassle in the kitchen. Also, during the steaming process the potato maintains its structure and contains a lot of starch, so the potatoes stay warmer for longer.
