Halewood International has launched the Maguires cider brand with the aim of becoming a significant player in the cider category over the next 12 months.
The new brand will be available in pear and apple variants in a 500ml glass bottle format with both having an ABV of 4.5%.
Halewood International marketing controller Richard Clark said Maguires had been developed to compete in the over ice sector and the addition of a pear variant was intended to broaden the brand’s appeal beyond existing cider drinkers and specifically to recruit female consumers. He added: “We are looking at further developments and innovations.”
