Kaliber undergoes reformulation

Kaliber, the number two non-alcoholic beer in the UK, has undergone a reformulation.

The reformulation aims to balance out the sweet and bitter notes to ensure Kaliber continues to taste like a premium beer but with no alcohol. The new reformulated liquid was derived from a series of tasting panels involving the target market of males aged 45-plus.

To complement the reformulation, new packaging is being rolled out which is designed to reflect the change in the liquid and the premium nature of Kaliber. In the independent and convenience channel Kaliber will be available in 4x440ml cans.

Richard Barlow, senior brand manager at Diageo, said: “Kaliber is a fully brewed premium lager.

“Only then is the alcohol removed, leaving it with its genuine taste and rich amber colour.”
