Guinness runs a competition to win live rugby in the living room

According to Diageo GB, Guinness it is now the number one beer brand associated with rugby in Great Britain and this year is the second year of the Guinness Premiership sponsorship.

Diageo GB is aiming to strengthen the association between Guinness and rugby with an on-pack promotion which gives consumers the chance to ‘Win live Rugby in their Living room’. The prize includes a 40 inch HD LCD TV, a Sky HD box and one year’s Sky HD subscription. There is also a chance to win one of 2,500 pairs of Guinness Premiership tickets. The promotion is on all packs, 6 cans, 10 cans, 12 cans, 15 cans and 18 cans of Guinness Draught.

Steven Hamilton, Guinness senior brand manager of Diageo GB, said: “This year we have created a compelling campaign to strengthen Guinness sales over spring. The combination of big-spend above-the-line advertising and a desirable on-pack rugby promotion should maximise the opportunity for retailers.”
