Ehrmanns has launched a range lower alcohol wines from the German winery FW Langguth called Light Fruity.
The first wines to be introduced from this range include a white Rivaner and a Dornfelder Ros eacute;, both of which have naturally occurring ABV levels of 9%.
This range is expected to meet growing demand for lower alcohol wines and will target health conscious consumers who enjoy lighter fruity wine styles.
Commenting on the launch, Ehrmanns marketing director Keith Lay said: “With two bans on artificially produced lower alcohol wines by the FSA recently, we feel that retailers and consumers alike will welcome the Light Fruity range, which only includes wine styles with a naturally occurring ABV of around 9%, a message which is highlighted on its packaging.
