Ehrmanns has announced the launch of a full coloured Fairtrade outer for Los Robles wine.
Specially designed for cash and carry and retail outlets, the outers have bottle shots, the Fairtrade mark and are designed to stand-out on shelf.
Each box can hold six bottles and can be used as POS on shelf beside the product.
Alan McDermott, business unit controller of Ehrmanns, said: “Research shows that ethical shoppers are no longer a niche segment of the market, and that consumers regard Fairtrade as one of the most valued ethical marks. Despite being a relatively small category of the overall Fairtrade sector, wine has shown considerable growth since the launch of Thandi, the first Fairtrade accredited wine, in 2004.
“At its current rate of growth, this market is expected to rise to a staggering pound;500m by 2011 and we believe that this should convince less proactive customers that they could also benefit from this phenomenon.”
