Crabbie’s unveils 6% ABV variant

Crabbie’s Black, a new 6% ABV variant of Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, has been launched by Halewood International.

Richard Clark, director of innovation at Halewood International, commented: “Real ales with higher ABVs are experiencing growth in the on trade and take home markets, providing a timely opportunity to launch Crabbie’s Black.”

Crabbie’s Black will be supported by a consumer press campaign fronted by Alan Hansen, as well as in-store and outdoor sampling, trade press and POS support, and Halewood expects it will also benefit from the current Crabbie’s national TV campaign.
