Following the on trade launch of Carling C2 in 2005, Coors Brewers has announced the launch of Carling C2 mid-strength 2% ABV lager into the off-trade.
Carling C2 is brewed specifically to 2% ABV to help retain the body and taste of a higher percentage lager but with less alcohol content.
Coors has invested over pound;2.5m in research, trials and product development and has committed pound;2m support to the off-trade launch of four-pack 500ml can.
Posters promoting Carling C2 will carry various suggestions of occasions to drink it, and there will be a trial campaign in autumn. There will also be a four-pack of Carling C2 which offers consumers the chance to taste the product and claim their money back if they are not satisfied.
