Brancott Estate breaks new ground with app that interacts with bottle

New Zealand wine brand Brancott Estate has launched a new smartphone app which interacts with its bottles.

Named ‘World’s Most Curious Bottle’, the app is the next step in the Brancott Estate ‘Stay Curious’ campaign.

All newly packaged bottles in the Brancott Estate Classic still range now feature a QR (quick response) code, via which consumers are invited to download the ‘World’s Most Curious Bottle’ app on their smartphone.

Once downloaded, the app allows smartphone users to interact directly with the Brancott Estate bottle through triggers on the front and back labels.

Consumers are offered 14 different experiences, ranging from virtual visits to the Brancott Vineyard in Marlborough, to an augmented reality flight with a native New Zealand falcon.
