Tennent’s Lager is launching a new can for the take-home market. The new packaging uses aluminium instead of steel to create a more modern can which uses the brand’s red T logo in a contemporary way.
Mark Latkowski, Interbrew UK’s head of business development for the Scottish take-home market, claimed the new design will lead to better standout on shelf.
“The new can looks terrific. It captures the essence and heritage of Tennent’s Lager in a modern way, and the new use of silver reinforces the quality message behind Scotland’s favourite lager.”
The new can has been introduced as part of a brand redesign programme costing about £7m. In the past year Tennent’s has introduced a new bottle design, new point of sale material and merchandise, and new outer packaging for the can.
The new cans will be introduced this month.
