Walkers has introduced a three-case stacker merchandising unit containing 99p price-marked packs of Sensations and Doritos.
The stacker contains Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli, Doritos Tangy Cheese and Sensations Chicken with Lemon Thyme.
Walkers’ research suggested that retailers were unsure how to maximise sales of new products and limited editions. The stackers are often branded to link up with TV advertising campaigns so customers recognise the product and are more likely to sample it.
PepsiCo trade marketing manager Cara Beeby said: “The stackers not only draw attention to the product with recognisable branding, but they can also be placed in areas of high traffic, such as near the till, to maximise visibility and increase impulse purchases.”
