Cadbury Trebor Bassett has launched Cadbury Crunchie Blast, the first new product development fromthe Crunchie brand in five years.
Cadbury Crunchie Blast is a mix of Cadbury Crunchie honeycombed granules, crisp rice and popping candy, surrounded with Cadbury milk chocolate.
Mike Tipping, head of customer relations for Cadbury Trebor Bassett, said: “Cadbury Crunchie Blast is a great fun new product, which builds on the superb taste and excellent feel-good factor of the original Crunchie brand. It has performed exceptionally well in tests, with 79% of consumers keen to try and buy it.
“Retailers should site Cadbury Crunchie Blast with Cadbury Crunchie in-store and, to achieve maximum sales at launch, create an additional display from the special POS materials available. Consumers will be searching out this new product, so it is key that retailers create an eye-catching display to promote the product.”
