Extensions of the Quality Street and After Eight brands are included in Nestlé Rowntree’s Christmas line-up.
This year Quality Street celebrates its 70th birthday and its Christmas collection will feature an anniversary design of Quality Streets throughout the decades, with a strong collectable quality. New packaging will feature packs with windows on the front so that consumers can see the sweets inside.
Extending the range is the Quality Street Toffees, Caramels and Fudges 800g Tin, which has an RRP of pound;6.99. Reinforcing this will be a pound;4m media campaign, intended to keep Quality Street at the forefront of shoppers’ thoughts.
Sharing the occasion is the After Eight brand, which will benefit from a media spend of pound;2m to introduce: After Eight Milk Chocolate with an RRP pound;2.79; After Eight Straws Grand Marnier, pound;1.99; and After Eight Premium Bags, RRP pound;1.99.
The Matchmakers brand has a new addition to its line with Matchmakers Golden Honeycomb with an RRP pound;1.99.
The giant tubes of Smarties, Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles and Rowntrees Jelly Tots, all with a RRP of pound;1.39, and Milkybar Buttons with a RRP of pound;1.49, are a big seller at Christmas, according to Nestlé.
New to the range is Pink Smarties, with an RRP of pound;1.39, and Aero Bubbles, RRP pound;1.49.
Another new addition is the Disney Cars Medium Selection Box, RRP pound;1.99. Cars will be released in cinemas in the summer and the DVD will be out in time for Christmas.
