Nestlé FoodServices has launched the first Aero instant hot chocolate drink backed by a Â£250,000 promotional campaign including free trial to wholesalers and caterers.
Trial is also being driven by packs offering a free 1kg tin of hot chocolate with a 750g tin of Nescafé Original.
The new product has been launched following intensive consumer testing which Nestlé says showed it has a 66% taste preference over its leading competitor.
Katy Hilditch, beverages category lead, commented: “We don’t expect our customers to take our word for it, but would urge outlets that serve hot chocolate to trial this product. They will be hooked.
“It’s not often that a new product comes to market with such a positive taste proposition and strong profit potential.”
