United Biscuits UK is seeking to accelerate growth of its McCoy’s and Hula Hoops brands with new varieties of each.
Next month it will be launching McCoy’s Special Tortillas, which it claims will be the first ridged tortilla.
They will be available in 175g sharing bags and 40g handypacks in three different flavours and will be backed by a pound;3.5m TV advertising campaign starting in May.
The ridged theme will be continued by Hula Hoops from April when Hula Hoops Ridges will be launched in four flavours. They will be available in packs of two grab bags and multipacks and will be supported by a pound;1.2m media campaign breaking in May/June.
New flavours are also being introduced into the McCoys range with Tex Mex, Wild West and Sunday Roast variations.
Advice on merchandising for wholesalers will also be released.
