Mars has launched a limited edition Mars Dark bar.
The bar contains caramel and nougat and is covered in dark chocolate. It will be available for a limited time only. Almost pound;1m has been committed to support the launch of Mars Dark and will include a Do It In The Dark print and online campaign.
According to Mars, October 26 is the day that the nation experiences a collective energy slump and to combat this Mars is launching the campaign to encourage the nation to get up and out and use winter evenings.
The single bar will have an RRP of 45p and standees and dump-bins will be sited in cash and carries.
Bep Sandhu, trade relations manager of Mars Chocolate UK, said: “Research has shown that in the first 12 weeks following a launch, one in two consumers buy innovation as an incremental purchase.”
