Kraft Foods is building on its Cadbury Wispa brand with the launch of a new chocolate sharing product, Cadbury Bitsa Wispa.
According to Kraft, the chocolate bags category is already worth pound;313m and is growing by 4.5% year on year, bitesize products currently account for 9.5% of chocolate sales, and 6.8% of total confectionery sales.
Kraft launched Cadbury Twirl Bites were launched in September last year and reports that it is the most successful bag launch to date.
Sally Barton, brand manager for Bitesize at Kraft Foods, said: “With the launch of Bitsa Wispa we are looking to continue the success of the growing Cadbury branded sharing portfolio. We are confident that the new addition will be just as successful.”
