Heinz has introduced price-marked tins for a range of its soups.
According to Heinz, canned soup accounts for 69% of all soup sales in the convenience sector and Heinz Soup is the leading brand with a 74% share.
The price-marked packaging is on Cream of Chicken Soup, Vegetable Soup, Mushroom Soup, Cream of Tomato Soup, Oxtail Soup and Lentil Soup.
Each tin features a dual price-mark of 65p or 2 for pound;1.18.
Amanda Sutherland, soups senior brand manager at Heinz, said: “Heinz is the expert in soup and is committed to helping retailers grow the category. As soup already has a very high penetration, our focus is on initiatives which will drive consumption and add consumer value.”
