Gallaher launches Silk Cut Menthol

Gallaher has extended its Silk Cut range with the launch of Silk Cut Menthol. It launched nationally on December 1, and will initially be available in a limited edition design.

Gareth Jackson, brand director of Silk Cut, said one in every 15 cigarettes smoked in the UK was menthol and the segment now had a 6.7% share of the market, an increase of 39% since 2001. Responding to this growing trend, the launch of Silk Cut Menthol was a natural progression.

Jeremy Blackburn, Gallaher’s head of communications, said: “Silk Cut Menthol brings style and sophistication to the premium kingsize menthol sector with a smooth, menthol flavour from a leading premier lower tar brand.”
