D D Snack Foods UK has launched X8 Exhilarate into the energy drinks category.
The 60ml liquid energy shot is a vitamin-based formula in two flavours, Orange and Berry. It aims to offer up to eight hours of energy, with alertness, focus, performance and endurance. According to D D, just two sips provide a sustained energy boost, with zero sugar and no energy crash.
D D Snack Foods says the US energy shot market is now worth $500m and the UK market is set to follow.
The bottle is designed to be convenient, compact, discreet and portable. The packaging is designed to be high impact and memorable and comes in a 12-bottle counter-top unit.
The marketing campaign will feature TV advertising in autumn/winter and will sponsor sports, be involved in music and lifestyle events, as well as on-line and social marketing updates and competitions.
