Crantock Bakery believes it has come up with the perfect solution for time-pressed and hungry shoppers who love the taste of Christmas.
The Cornish bakery’s latest offering is a Turkey and Cranberry pasty, which it is dubbing “the world’s fastest Christmas dinner”.
The pasty, which is hitting shelves now, combines turkey breast with mixed vegetables, sage and onion stuffing, cranberries and cranberry sauce in a hand-crimped flaky pastry crust.
Crantock Bakery’s Becky Hornabrook, who refined the recipe, said: “Cornish pasties are the ultimate food on the move, so instead of waiting hours for a 20lb turkey to defrost people can enjoy the taste of Christmas in minutes.
“The run up to Christmas is one of the busiest times on the high street, and our new pasty gives shoppers a taste of the festive season without the wait.”
