Cadbury Trebor Bassett is widening the scope of the Maynards portfolio with the introduction of two new products. Hard gum sweets, previously known as Lion Sports Mixture, and Lion Midget Gems are to be brought under the Maynards brand.
In both products the traditional black liquorice flavour gum will be converted to a blackcurrant flavour. A pack redesign will accompany the launch. It includes the Maynards branding, while retaining the well-recognised Sports Mixture and Midget Gems logos.
The activity will be supported by direct mail, a regional poster campaign and a £3m TV advertising campaign promoting the Maynards brand. For cash and carry customers, Cadbury Trebor Bassett has provided a wide range of tailored point of sale material including bespoke posters, pallet wraps and shippers.
