Veetee Foodservice’s latest addition to its range is Brown Basmati Rice.
Grown and harvested in the foothills of the Himalayas, the product is high in vitamins and minerals, making it a good rice choice for the health conscious and for children.
Veetee Brown Basmati rice has a distinctive nutty flavour and can be used as an accompaniment to a range of healthy dishes or in an array of mains or side dishes where chefs are looking to push the boundaries to create new dishes using basmati while retaining the many nutritional benefits of brown rice.
For a truly authentic experience, Veetee’s development chef Naresh Guglani suggests serving Haleem, a traditional south Indian dish, made from small pieces of lamb, brown rice, curry leaves, onions and garlic all cooked together over a slow fire. Or, for side dishes, he suggests a Creole rice dish that combines brown basmati rice with tomato and chilli flakes for added kick.
