Birds Eye introduces fish fingers that contain additional Omega 3

Birds Eye has launched Omega 3 Fish Fingers.

The Birds Eye Omega 3 Fish Finger is made from 100% Alaskan Pollock fillet, sourced from an MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified fishery.

The launch is designed to build on Birds Eye’s 76% value share of the sector.

Ian Crichton, marketing manager of Birds Eye, said: “We know that mums and their kids love the taste of Birds Eye Fish Fingers. But what they have also told us is that they want more Omega 3 in their diets – and now they can have it, in a great tasting fish finger, which is also sustainable.”

Birds Eye has also launched an advertising campaign entitled ‘Good Mood Food’ to include TV, outdoor, radio, press and digital.

According to Birds Eye ‘Good Mood Food’ is designed to sum up how mums, kids and retailers feel about Birds Eye frozen food. Mums are happy to serve it because it is nutritious, kids eat it because they like it and retailers stock it because of increased sales.
