Ben Jerry’s goes Fairly Nuts for winning fan’s tasty new flavour

Ben amp; Jerry’s is adding a new Fairtrade flavour to its range.

Ben amp; Jerry’s Fairly Nuts was created by a Ben amp; Jerry’s fan who won the global ‘Do The World A Flavour’ competition.

The ice cream will be available in March and bring the Fairtrade flavours range to five. Consumers from 15 countries entered the competition and winners were chosen from each country to visit the Dominican Republic and meet company founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield.

The winners spent a week with Fairtrade farmers and took part in a local community project. The overall winner was Toni Gunnison from the USA.

Vicky Willis, brand manager for Ben amp; Jerry’s, said: “Some of our best sellers, such as Cookie Dough and Chunky Monkey have been inspired by our consumers, so running a competition that invited Ben amp; Jerry’s fans from around the world to suggest their own flavours was a no-brainer.”
