British American Tobacco (BAT) has introduced capsule technology across its entire Pall Mall range.
The Pall Mall Click On capsules will be available in every pack in the Pall Mall range at the existing prices – which BAT says is a first for the market!
The tobacco company told Wholesale News that research showed that many adult smokers were keen to try capsule cigarettes but not willing to pay premium prices [Kantar GCS 2011]. By not increasing the pricing for the Pall Mall Click On range, the BAT said it was reflecting its commitment to always deliver more value to adult smokers.
Anna Petrova, group brand manager at British American Tobacco UK amp;I, said: “Capsule is the biggest innovation in cigarettes since the filter. Offering this technology across the whole range is a real game changer. We’ve already achieved great success with the new Click On range outside of the UK, so we’re confident this launch will deliver a massive impact! We want retailers to be part of the Pall Mall Click On success story as more choice for adult smokers means more sales for retailers!”
The full Pall Mall Click On range will be available nationwide from October.
