Gate Ventures launches ‘Food Move’ division

Food transport and facilities services provider Gate Ventures has launched Food Move – a new service aimed at social, healthcare, high street and business and industry sectors.

Food Move evolved from Gate Ventures’ specialised school meals delivery service, which delivers more than 3.6 million school meals across the country each year.

Food Move covers the transport of sandwiches, ambient, frozen and chilled food and also includes meals on wheels covering food delivery ranging from collection, picking, re-packing, delivery, paper-work management and reverse logistics.

Tevin Tobun, managing director, Gate Ventures, said: “We have launched the Food Move brand to effectively encapsulate all of our food transport services and activity, with the exception of our solutions for the education sector.  We moved into the school meals sector after noticing a gap in the market for a full end-to-end service provision and have rapidly expanded this area of the business – to this day still working with our first ever customer.  The logical next step was to expand out into additional sectors and this too is proving to be a successful decision.

“I believe the key to our success is our ability to provide the most efficient and flexible methods of distribution for our clients.  They can then maintain a competitive pricing structure by using our fleet and back office support, all whilst having the same level of control of the drivers, without the need to invest in their own vehicles.  We bring years of experience in delivering food to a wide variety of clients and skillfully handle the delivery and distribution of any food products. For each new client we provide a contract specification where scope, level and the combination of services are carefully adjusted to each client, to ensure that we provide the most efficient solution.” ,  and
