Fisherman’s Friend advertised on TV for the first time in more than four years

Fleetwood in Lancashire is known for two things– as the home of  Fisherman’s Friend lozenges; and as the place where global opera star Alfie Boe grew up.

The two Fleetwood legends can be seen from today (February 1) when a new commercial first airs on TV – the first TV ad for the brand in more than four years.  London based Fox Kalomaski Crossing was the agency behind the commercial, which can be seen by clicking on the picture below:

In the commercial Alfie is warming up his voice in his dressing room and with a little help from his Fisherman’s Friend is soon bringing the house down – literally.

The new ad campaign, worth £1.5m, is the Fisherman’s Friend brand’s biggest-ever marketing investment.

Now performing around the world, Alfie Boe was first discovered when overheard singing as he worked in a car factory in Fleetwood.

“I want to fly the flag for Fleetwood. It’s a good little town”, he said.
