Women in Wholesale report “to provide the tools for progress”

Organisers of the Women in Wholesale (WiW) conference have announced that the 2017 event – its second – will be held at the British Library on October 19, 2017.

A WiW report targeting proprietors and HR departments will be released on April 26, 2017 and will be available free-of-charge to all wholesalers and manufacturers.

WiW organiser Elit Rowland said, “Our conference established some valuable insight and the next step is to take action. Our report will set out goals and benchmarks to offers businesses the tools they need to move forward.”

The WiW report will be officially launched at an invitation-only networking event in central London, which is open to all women in wholesale and male proprietors.

Co-chairperson for the WiW conference and MD at Country Range Group, Coral Rose, said, “We recognise that men are a key element to the catalyst for change so it is important we take an inclusive approach.”

Second co-chair of the event, Clare Bocking, commercial director at McCormick EMEA added: “Both men and women have a role to play in improving the image of wholesale and making it a more attractive career choice. This will ultimately benefit everyone involved.”

Early sponsors include Bidvest Foodservice, Bestway Wholesale and Premier Foods. Supporters include the Royal Bank of Scotland, researcher him! and data specialist The Whole Sale Co.
