New and emerging attitudes to community will be the subject of the presentation by Paul Flatters, chief executive of the Future Foundation.
He will examine what people want from communities, how they define it and how attached they feel to community these days.
Flatters is an experienced consultant and media commentator taking an active role in individual project work where his Future Foundation clients include EMAP, Nissan, BBC, Tesco, Microsoft and Mercedes.
As chief executive he is responsible for the strategic development of the Future Foundation, including the consultancy, modelling and subscription services.
Flatters sits on the board of both The Future Foundation and Experian Business Strategies. He is also the marketing director of the business strategies division of Experian.
He joined the Future Foundation in March 2002 from BBC News where he was head of analysis and research. He was also a member of the News Editorial Board.
