US company aims to shake up UK e-cig market with “game changing” vapouriser

V2 Cigs, a leading US e-cigarette company, is this month launching its range of e-cigs and high-tech vapourisers in the UK and is aiming to shake up the fragmented but fast-growing market. Palmer amp; Harvey and Confex group C amp;Cs are the first wholesalers to stock the range.

V2’s UK managing director Paul Hunt told Wholesale News that V2 Cigs “offer retailers an average profit margin of 40%”.  The range includes: Classic Flavour Cartridges amp; Batteries, EX Series Cartridges amp; Batteries, Shisha Pens and Refillable E-Liquid Mini-Tank style Cartridges and E-Liquid Flavour Bottles plus the Soft Tip V2Cigs Disposable Electronic Cigarette.  All are supplied from a distribution centre in Peterborough.

Hunt said that V2 Cigs “designs and develops its own electronic cigarettes to ensure consistent premium quality, conducting layers of testing on its electronics, flavour cartridges and e-liquids”. All products containing E-Liquid are code stamped with a batch number which consumers can view and track online.

“V2 Cigs was the first electronic cigarette company to do this and remains one of the most transparent, offering customers and consumers added quality reassurance,” said Hunt.

The company’s flagship product, the V2 Cigs PRO Series 3 Vapouriser, a 3-in-1 premium vaporizer with smart technology that can detect interchangeable E-Liquid, loose leaf or essential oil cartridges, will be available in the UK from mid-November.

Hunt told Wholesale News the V2 PRO was a “game changer” for the UK market, being just half the price of its nearest competitor, the Pax. Starter kits would be available at a special launch price of £50, he added.

For consumers this multi-functional product provides choice, power and control when vaping and for retailers this development allows them to offer a fantastic electronic cigarette at great value for money. The technology used in the V2 Cigs PRO Series 3 Vaporizer is the next generation of electronic cigarettes and we’re confident that consumers and retailers alike will recognise the opportunity this new product has to offer this evolving category.”

To support its launch in the UK, V2 Cigs will be investing in trade marketing initiatives to drive awareness of the brand and its products with retailers whilst focusing on digital and sampling campaigns to raise awareness amongst consumers.
