Enfield-based JJ Food Service this week unveiled its best-ever set of figures. Turnover jumped 30% in the year to 31 March 2012, and now exceeds £180m.
Commenting on the strong growth, CEO, Mustafa Kiamil said: “The increase in new customers, by 16.6%, showed the many ways a customer can interact with JJ Food Service was working, this coupled with genuine savings which can be made by placing and paying for their orders on-line and collecting from any of our seven strategically located branches throughout the UK was seen as a big advantage by our customers.”
He added: “Having invested heavily in our I.T. infrastructure over the last few years to help facilitate faster and more efficient trading, has resulted in internet sales increasing by a massive 63% to £75m over the same period last year”.
The group opened a new branch in Bristol in October enabling it to better service customers in Wales and the West of England. Plans are also well under way for the opening of its eighth branch in Leeds which is due to open this coming June.
