Tropical Sun Foods, the specialist ethnic food brand distributed by East London-based wholesaler Wanis, is this month launching a high profile TV campaign to run across multiple ethnic TV channels, aimed at inviting more Asian consumers to try its range of Basmati products.
The campaign launches in the last week of May and runs for two months, which also includes prime-time programme sponsorship across seven channels.
The ad is centred on a party setting hosted by fictional family the Mehras, who have invited a selection of their friends over for dinner and plays up the gossip and competitiveness amongst the guests, something which Tropical Sun says many people will have experienced at any dinner party or get-together. In a twist, all the actors are children.
More Tropical Sun activity is planned for the rest of the year.
