Natural and organic wholesaler and distributor Tree of Life is exclusively launching US brand Sencha Naturals into the UK with Green Tea Leaf Mints.
The mints come in five different flavours – Original, Bombay Chai, Moroccan Mint, Pink Dragonfruit and Tropical Mango and all are made from a Sen Cha blend of Organic Matcha and Sencha Green Tea, combined with natural sweetener Stevia, fruit and citrus extracts, spices and peppermint oils. A single serving of three mints provides the same levels of antioxidants as a cup of green tea, and contain five calories.
Founded in the US in 2001, Sencha Naturals is the brainchild of David Kerdoon, who after travelling extensively through Asia, became fascinated by green tea and how it was used beyond being just a drink. Once back in the US he worked with tea masters, herbalists and food formulators to create Sencha Naturals – a socially responsible company with green tea at the core of its products.
“Green Tea Leaf Mints are not only good for you, they also help you conquer bad breath naturally as green tea actually inhibits the growth of oral bacteria,” said Kirsten Sowerby, marketing manager at Tree of Life. “They are the perfect healthy and grown up alternative to gum and mints and have become a must stock staple for retailers and foodservice operators in the US. The brand is now looking to emulate that success in the UK and tap into this country’s acceptance of green tea, challenging consumers to think of it as more than just a hot or cold drink.”
The Sencha Naturals Green Tea Leaf Mints come packaged in a recyclable hard case and containing 60 mints with an RRP of £2.99.
