Today’s Group has launched the second phase of its Margin Maker promotion following its successful campaign during 2014. The initiative will give independent retailers a competitive 40-60% profit on return (POR) on own-brand lines.
Beginning on February 16, all Today’s Select product lines will be available at Today’s member wholesale depots at 40% POR. Today’s will then promote all Essentials brand lines at 50% POR, while Blue Stone Spring water will be available at a thirst-quenching 60% POR.
The campaign will end with a Best of the Best deal, which will give retailers competitive deals on a number of specially selected Today’s own-brand products.
Managing director of Today’s Group Bill Laird said: “We are supporting our retailers to tackle competition with an attractive own-label brand that hits a competitive consumer price point, provides great value over key brands and allows sustainable margins to be made by retailers and wholesalers.”
The campaign follows the success of the first Margin Maker promotion, which was launched in January 2014. This follow-up will be backed with a heavyweight national trade media campaign together with point of sale at retail and wholesale level, including shelf talkers and posters.
Today’s currently has 443 symbol stores members and 1,600 retail club members. The promotional campaign coincides with the group’s new recruitment drive, which has been developed to support the wholesale group’s strategy of hitting 500 symbol stores by the end of this year.
