Today’s Group has launched Today’s Charitable Foundation – and has already raised more than £10,000 for two worthy causes.
The two charities being supported by the new Foundation are Sheffield-based Bluebell Wood children’s hospice, which offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, and Shrewsbury-based Village Water, which works in rural Zambia supporting safe, clean water projects and community development.
MD of Today’s Group Bill Laird said: “We have chosen to support Bluebell Wood children’s hospice base on the excellent work the charity does locally to help children with life-limiting conditions and their families.” Laird continued: “We are delighted that one of our chosen charities is a regional organisation, rather than a national one, as it is important to Today’s Group that we are creating a local link to our own community here in South Yorkshire.
“When searching for appropriate partners to support, we also identified a very clear link between Village Water and our Today’s own brand Blue Stone Spring water. Village Water is a charity that has been doing amazing work in rural Zambia for the past 10 years to help village communities to create conditions that will give them lasting, safe water, sanitation and education.”
