The Today’s Group will officially kick off its new Football Crazy promotional concept later this month at Nisa-Today’s Annual Exhibition at the NAC in Stoneleigh, near Coventry.
Football Crazy has been devised to drive footfall in member depots following the success of the Today’s Group’s Brandwagon promotion in 2005, and will be themed to all major footballing activity this year including the World Cup, FA Cup and Scottish Cup Finals.
A branded trailer – housing activities including football fun days and strong promotions – will tour 29 member depots across the UK commencing in early May and will culminate in October with a retailer presentation and celebratory party.
The Annual Exhibition will feature several Football Crazy activities including: a guest appearance from the campaign figurehead, football legend Sir Geoff Hurst MBE; a ‘ pound;1 a go’ penalty shoot-out for exhibition visitors with proceeds donated to a local charity – the goalkeeper of which will be campaign mascot ‘Crazy Cat'; extensive branded giveaways such as boot bags, footballs and Football Crazy drink bottles; and musical entertainment.
The Football Crazy trailer will also be on site, featuring pictures of the other world class footballing legends supporting the campaign, Gordon Banks OBE, Martin Peters MBE and Pat Jennings OBE and KSG.
Rodney Hunt, managing director of the Today’s Group, commented: “This promises to be an excellent show for the Today’s Group and its members. Not only will it raise awareness of the Football Crazy promotion and the opportunities it presents, but it also showcases the latest products and services to our members at the best possible prices to help them compete in the marketplace. We look forward to another successful exhibition.”
