Drinks distributor W Hall Son (Holywell) Ltd has been purchased by the South Wales brewer SA Brain Co for an undisclosed sum.
The deal includes the company’s four depots in Holywell in north Wales, and Congleton, Crewe and Liverpool.
Halls, which had a turnover of about pound;9m, was a member of Today’s, but Brain’s sales and marketing director Richard Davies said the membership had been resigned on completion of the deal.
Managing director Mike Hall has left the business following the deal, with Brain’s operation director Steve Jones taking charge, but Davies said no other departures were expected.
He said other than an increased focus on Brain’s products there were unlikely to be any immediate changes in the business.
He said Halls was attractive because it would give Brains a much greater distribution in North Wales and they would be looking to expand the business.
