‘At your service’ will be the theme of this year’s Catersummit conference in October.
Former Landmark Wholesale marketing director Chris Rose, who is working on the organisation of the conference, said it would look at ways that companies deal with the complexity of the catering market.
He said: “This is an industry that has lots of types of establishment, from roadside cafés to five-star restaurants, to schools, prisons and hospitals. The decision makers also vary widely and include owners, chefs and general managers. Our speakers will look at the ways their companies serve this market.”
Max Wright, Landmark Wholesale’s senior trading controller foodservice, and Premier Wholesale retail director Raj Samani, will jointly look at the lessons learned as Premier set up a foodservice division.
James Salmon, general manager of Vivas, the joint venture between 3663 and Bibendum Wine, will be talking about how to make wine more accessible, and him! client director Tara Benjamin will examine how catering customers differ from retailers.
Today’s Group trading controller Steve Dixon will make a joint presentation with Allen Watts, executive director of Caterforce, examining what caterers are looking for from cash and carries and delivered wholesalers.
Catersummit will be at The Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel, Gloucestershire, on October 19-20. For details contact 01323 724952 or email email@example.com
